I have no ideal what that wire is for. Yes we do have a storage but it's under the seat, and the seat is bolted on. I know, don't make much since, but thats were it is. Several of us has a trunk kit. it's a solenoid set up. here is a link you can check out.http://www.flashalert.com/f2f3trunk.htm

I would say someone wired some under lights on and took them off.. Its nothing that is serious if thats what your wondering.

 

Take your tank off and check the wiring down there next to the battery They have wires in there that have ends like that. But if the bike is running fine I wouldn't worry about it.

 

Maybe a battery charger connection? Those have connectors like that.

 

Yep, I would bets it's for a battery tender.

Mine has 1 wire going to the positive terminal on the battery and the negitive clips anywhere on the frame.

 

Def looks like a tender. I had one on mine when i bought it andthe lead coming out that i plug into is very similar. Mine was zip tied to the frame post coming out the back. Very easy to hook into.
