Have to bend? No..Need to bend in order for the tail section not to look to low, and the taillight easily visible? yes

you have to use an 01 02 f4i rear shock to lift the rear no bending bending very bad

well, its too late. I've chopped up the tail and bent it. the mapp gas worked like a champ. i bend it too high, so i have to lower it a bit. the bigger problem i am having is with the SSSA conversion.

i can put the f4i shock in, but its messing with how the swing arm is installing. the chain is riding the rubber chain guard. without realizing it, i've raised the bike about 1.5" from stock, and thats causing the chain to rub against the swing arm. ive bent the sub frame enough to put the r1 tail (04') on, with the dual exhaust. i did a mockup with the seat and such, still need some fab work. but now i have to figure out how to drop the bike down to stock. thats another set of hurdles.

there really isnt too much left of the f3 subframe. totally customized it. im about 200lbs and i had no problem with the frame moving while i was sitting on it. i could not with all my strength cold bend that frame. its hard as nails.

Eh, sorry forgot about this thread... I used a 1 ft gas pipe to hit it... quick and painless...
