what to do
ordering a new chain and sprockets, what u guys think about just going down 1 in front. i do a couple track days a year and would be nice to have it a little snappier. is it worth it? i do top out for a couple sec on the straight if were using the long course at Brainerd International Raceway. but i only do this a couple times a year and rest is street. hoping to have a race bike this spring so that might no be a factor. so does going down 1 in front make a noticeable difference? i know my buddies f4i has -1,+2 and it was a huge difference. i pull away and tripple digits at the track but i don't ride like that on the street.
You will feel a noticeable difference but will add couple more seconds of topping out down long straights. Most racers set gearing to top out in the middle of their braking zone down the main straight.
