Default what diameter for F3's midpipe?

Hey guys. i have a situation here. I purchased a D&D slip-on from an F4i for my F3. the reason being it did not come with a mid-pipe, and was super cheap, so I figured I can just get any random mid-pipe from a muffler shop that will fit.

the inlet on the D&D is just a tad bit over 2 inches. So I need a mid-pipe 2-inch in diameter on one side to go INSIDE the inlet of the D&D.

my question is about the other side. the side that will join the mid-pipe with the stock exhaust pipes. is the other side of the mid-pipe supposed to go inside or outside of the exhaust piping? also, will the 2inch mid-pipe fit it correctly whether its supposed to be inside or outside?

nvm i removed the stock slip on today and it needs a 2 inch pipe over it. the people at the muffler shop wont do it for me because theres "too much liability involved". ugh now im stuck with a slip on and no mid pipe.

You could cut slits on the sides of your mid-pipe to try and slide the d&d in or take it to a welding shop with a piece of stainless steel pipe. You can cut the midpipe end where the d&d slips on and weld a smaller piece so that the midpipe will slip in now. I did this to my f2. The m4 exhaust I got cheap didn't fit my midpipe so a simple cut and weld. You can always try another shop.

well, i cannot use the stock midpipe. the stock midpipe is already welded onto the stock muffler. the D&D already has a cut end, and a 2 inch pipe will fit into it perfectly. all i simply asked them to do was to cut me a 2 inch pipe and bend it accordingly so that it would run from the end of the slip on, onto the exhaust pipe. for some reason they just wouldnt do it.

i will probably try another shop. for some reason it seemed like i was dealing with a bunch of idiots at the shop i went to. especially since the workers seemed to be younger then me (im 21).

Just keep trying other exhaust shops call them all. Also, if worst came to worst a welding shop would do it also. Just have to bring the piece of pipe.
