Default what could it be?

I bought a wreaked f3 the other day to part it out... but its it decent enough condition to run and drive so I might try to fix it. after removing all the plastics, behind the seedometer, there is a 3/4 inch rubber house that split into a y. it runs down the left side of the frame and tucks back behind the tank some where... there its nothing hooked onto it in the front where the y is.... am I missing something? what is it?

Its some sorta breather hose ram airbox vent bla bla bla, I dunno what it does exactly but it cant be terribly important. The previous owner of my bike removed mine mine and it runs fine today.

It's the low speed air intake. You can bypass it.

...so there are two intakes? because isee the "ram air" below this house, then the y its just hangin out...that ll be fine to run that way or could I just remove the entire hose under the seat?

is this the assembly you are talking about? the two hoses split right beneath the ram air box and route the 2 small hoses that come out below the headlight? if so they can be deleted, but i only see people take them out if the carbs have been jetter (per the jet kit instructions)

if that is the right "y" you are talking about, those two smaller air inlets are for low rpm airflow and wont affect much about riding especially if you are only missing the last 1 foot of hosing.
