Ah, crap. I completely forgot about the speedo problems. There's another $100.

I duno, I wouldn't worry about it too much... after like 25mph your stock speedo is gonna be off anyways, especially when you make it up towards 100 and beyond, down one really doesn't change it that much... still go for it!

What if swerving means getting your legs cut off? Then splatting may be better... lol

i have a 525 conversion with -1/+2 on my 95 f3 and i love it. the speedo is fast by 5 mph at 45 and it is 68mph when the speedo says 75. i think its a difference of -9.4% on the speeedo with the new sprockets compared to the stock sprocket ratio.

That's not bad. Better to be going too slow, I suppose.

Anyone got any complaints about Stealth? Is that Supersprox? Found these while hunting around, thought they went well with my bike's color scheme:

Bringin this thread back from the dead!!!

I put a couple hundred miles on the new sprockets, and I'm just not digging the tooth change. I want to go back down to stock in the rear, but can't find any place selling a Supersprox 530 with 43 teeth that fits the 96 F3 (97-98 are 525 stock, so that's the highest Supersprox makes). The front sprocket and chain are practically brand new, so I can't be changing the pitch now. I like Supersprox cuz the gold color matches my bike pretty nicely. Any leads?

Worst case you could put a 525/43 on the rear using a 530 chain. There would be a little extra side to side play, but it won't affect it's ridability. That's what was on my wife's F3 when we bought it. Unless you knew what you were looking at, you wouldn't know.

Wouldn't that increase the wear due to all the extra motion \ friction?

Bump.

Anyone have thoughts on the additional wear potential?
