Well, it's been a few weeks since I took out the DRZ, but the F3 didn't come out until last Friday.
Even though the grass is still brown, the temperature is good for riding (~10 deg. celsius).
Looking at the pics, I notice I should glue down my "seat" around the edges, LOL!
Had the tank painted during winter. It's shiny. Almost too shiny. You can see my house in it.
The bike looks OK from a few feet, but if you go any closer you'll notice the wear and tear.
Same goes for me.

It's a one-piece tail, I got it from Ebay a couple years back as part of a three piece fairing set.
I had to fabricate a bracket under the seat section of the tail, otherwise the tail would rest on the rear light and two screws connecting it with the front fairing.
They're fiberglass, and were a total bitch to make decent looking
They were cheap (race) fairings, and not made for a showroom. (no cutouts for the lights, voids underneath the gelcoat, etc etc).
Put a hecka lotta hours in 'em back then.
Here's a couple pics from when I was about to paint the fairings.
And here's the bracket I made:

Thanks for the comments
b.haley; I think you could use it as an interchangeable tail.
I made the bracket because I use it as a street bike for commuting and general riding.
For racing, the bracket would be obsolete as the riding style would be more active.
When going through twisties, I notice how little of my weight is actually on the seat.
I'm all over the bike then, and usually the weight of me is on the pegs while the rest of me is push-pulling the bars.
I could do without the sticky nature of the seat foam when I'm out on an inspired ride.
Unfortunately I have no idea how it fits with original fairings, as they are on the dung
Bought the bike from a friend after he crashed it, and the only remaining pieces of fairing are an upper right cowl and one of the ears.
pontyhufc; your bike looks great! I like the color scheme.
