Does anyone know if someone makes a vented gas cap for the f3? My vent line is clogged. I tried fishing wire through it to clear it out and no luck. I tried blowing air through it with a compressor, no luck. I brought it to a mechanic so they could try, no luck. i'm at a loss now on what to do. So i figure if someone sells a vented gas cap then it would fix the problem. any ideas?

I had a similar problem after having had my tank coated internally due to a leak.
What I did was this
1 Remove the gas tank, empty itand let it stand open to clear all the vapor.
2Then remove the gascap complete with the surround.
3 Stick a vacuumcleaner hose in the tank(to remove anymore vapor - you don't want it to go bang if you get a spark from the drill) and drill a small hole in the tank below the righthand side of where the gascap fits over.Fit it there because the bike when it's on the sidestand will have the RHS at it's highest point and reduce spillage.
4 Buy a hypodermic needle around 1mm diameter (used on animals by a vet
5 bend the needle (needs care) into a u-shape
6 Fit the needle into the hole you drilled under the top of the tank.Make the needle get as close to the inside of the top of the tank as you can to reduce spillage (minimal this way)
7 epoxy it in place
What this does is allow the tank to "breathe" through the overflow built in under the lid, and going down to the carbs.(the rubber hose already mentioned above)
Problem solved. If you need pictures, PM me or send me an e-mail to

Hope this helps
