i bought this bike a month ago, came with no manuel.. but just wondering what gas should i be putting in? i've been playin it safe with putting the 93 premium in. Does it matter if i put in the premium or will regular be fine too?

 

Depends on you, I put 87 and get good gas mileage and performance. Some put in 89 and some 93.
It depends on you and how the bike act with certain grades of gas.

if you start getting knock..then up to higher octanes

 

 

Your bike does call for 91octane minimum. There is a sticker on the tail section under the plastics...

johnnyquest is full of ****. 86 min. i run 87 and my bike loves it.

 

Actually, Johnyquest is just quoting what the sticker on the LEFT SIDE frame under the plastic on your seat says (or your manual). You may do as you please. Indeed your bike would run on ****, if it burned.

My manual calls out for atleast 86 and my bike is a 97. I guess from the 97 to 98 model it changed.

 

 

that sticker says 91 RON.that is equal to86 PON...allthe bike requires is 86 pump octane...regular unleaded fuel is 87 pump octane..the 91 is the research octane ...
