Hey guys, just needed a bit of info. I'm thinking about buying a 1998 600F3 from a buddy. I only have one question. Am I too big for this bike? I'm 6'3" and weigh about 315 lbs. One friend told me I was probably to big, but a few other buddies have said no problem. At my local Honda shop lead tech said I would be fine....just wanted to double check here.......I've rode this bike plenty of times and have noticed no problems but dont want to kill it :-)

 

Your not gonna kill it , as long as your comfortable thats all that matters

I am 6'1 around 220 lbs and I once thought I needed a bigger bike. You should be fine just tighten up the rear shock and ride it like you stole it.

 

yea you should be fine...you might only need to adjust the rear shock, maybe the front forks.

 

I thought the same thing I'm 6'2 250lbs but its been plently of bike to have fun with.

 

6'2" 230 here and my f3 did just fine while i had it... did even touch the suspension, but i was a noob when i rode it so i dont think i noticed handling differenced

 

I bought a 98 F3 not too long ago and haven't noticed problems with my large frame. I'm over 6 feet tall and weigh about 275lbs. It has been a great starter bike and I can use my body weight to help control the bike into corners. Go for it.
