Hey guys. I just bought my 98 f3. I was wondering if there is a time limit you have after you buy your bike to get the title transfered and registered? Thanks all.

I have heard they may charge you an extra fee for waiting too long...but that could just be bs. an old friend of mine said that

 

It'd depend on your state, but mine gives you 15 days to transfer the title otherwise you get added fines. You'd at least need to do it within a year of purchase otherwise you won't be able to pay for your tabs.

when I got my f3 the kid i bought it from never filled out the buyer section or got it registered to him. i was pretty sketched out but I just filled in the stuff with my info, cause i went to highschool with the kid i bought it from so i knew he was just being stupid(but not screwing me over). it was like 6 months after the sale date on the title, and i didnt get any extra fines to my knowledge.

no, the kid i bought it from was just way lazy, and the guy he bought it from didnt take his plates.

o ok. if there the title says the lein is released...what does that mean?

 

just kindof a shot in the dark, but either there was a lien on the bike and there isnt one now, or it just doesnt have a lien.
