Default for those who dont use their stock helmet lock

where are how do you guys lock your helmet and jacket to the bike. i am looking to remove the rear pegs/brackets on my 98 f3 and will be needing a method and place to lock my helmet and jacket to the bike for those times I cannot bring it with me. one suggestion so far is to get a gun lock like this

how does everyone else do it?

for instance the movies, or out to dinner, wherever the situation required me to not bring it in with me.

I found this, its the Kryptonie Kryptogrip. I just picked one up, Ill let you guys know how it works out.

So, you walk in with your riding jacket on smelling like exhaust or whatever and it would be innappropriate to have your helmet with you? Are the movie theaters really packed that full where you are that it won't sit in the seat next to you?

I like the idea of a cable as in your post, but I just can't see why it would be a necessity to take your helmet with you, unless it was to a place like an amusement park.

this is a just in case i cant bring it with me type thing, this would be for my jacket as well. you cant tell me that if given the option you would go somewhere w/o having to lug your jacket and helmet around. ie the mall or wherever you might be. this isnt a debate over where or when. just if you want to have the option. hope this helps.
