Default Temp gauge replacement

Hi all - I'm new to the forum with a 1998 600F3 that I've just added to the collection. I'm going to give this 19,000 mile machine the TLC it needs. It's obviously been down on the right side - at speed. First order of business is doing something about the broken temperature gauge in the cluster. Dealer tells me an individual gauge is available (and don't have to change the entire cluster). But, the parts guy couldn't tell if the gauge comes with the exterior lense (plastic/glass that covers the needle/gauge) or if it's just the flat disk with needle and no lense. Anyone ever change this gauge?

Appreciate the advice.

the gauge wil not come with the clear plastic cover. it will come as a flat disc with needle.
