I haven't. I've unscrewed the cluster for testing the switches..but there isn't enough room to actually take the starter switch out, without removing the throttle cables. I dread doing that because I have to remove all the crap to get to the carb end of the cables to loosen them..I hate that with a passion. Lol.

guess ill head over there today and get to it..are you able to actually disassemble the starter switch to clean it? All I could see was 4 wires soldered to the top of the switch.. and a couple of screws holding it in..

never hard to start until the battery went out..replaced it less than a month ago. I forget the brand, but it was one of those "lifetime" batteries from cycle gear. It hasn't has a problem since. And was actually running the best it has since i bought it and started working on it..(about 3 years)

The thing i dont get is why it wont pop start when you tried it. By doing it you dont even use starter switch, just clutch. So what im thinking it might even be engine run switch. Try holding it down on run while pressing starter button.

when i was trying to pop start it, it wasnt just me pushing either. i had my buddy. so its not like there wasn't enough to get it going...when i let the clutch out, it would just do that fuzzy engine sound like when your out of gas holding the throttle open..

Check your main fuse. The one by the battery. Its a 30 fuse. Check the plug and look for corrosion or dirt ect. That was my problem.
