Single seat mod to my F3
Not exactly sure (and I dont care) what the seat is off but I got it from a swap meet for 20 bucks. Started by chopping off what was in the way and then vacuumed on some glass followed by an aluminium tab to hold the front. The tail cowl was a bit tricky with nothing to use as a mould so I made one. Each section of the tail was moulded separately and then joined together with strips of glass cloth. Still a bit of filling, shaping and sanding before paint but I'm pretty happy with how it's going so far.

I've made stuff from something that I can use as a mould but never had to make the shape from nothing. Sort of made it up as I went along. I've got all ther gear to work with and when there's not much on at work I can basically do what I want. I want to try doing a full set of race glass next.

Yes TooBroke, she was very happy. More for the single seat mod than the mailbox cause it will basically halve my registration when I get it checked and a mod plate done for $60. Here's the simple way I attached the rear of the seat to the subframe. I put rivnuts into the subframe. It seems to be solid and sturdy enough. I'm taking the cowl to work tomorrow and getting one of the painters to give it a coat of gloss black.

Finally got my cowl back after a couple of weeks at my works paintshop. It was done for free so I didn't annoy Keith about how long he was taking....oh, and they do have actual work to do. Any way, here's how it looks painted and fitted to the bike. I'm considering getting rid of the 600F decals.
