Default should i trade???

ok, so i have a friend that wants to trade me his 96 mustang gt for my 96 cbr 600, should i do this:

mustang pros:
all factory
paint is in great shape
113k miles

mustang cons:
intake manifold leaking some water
2 good size dents one in the front fender and one on the drivers door

cbr pros:
98 600 engine
powercoated frame (pearl white)
factory wheels with polisehed lip
Brand new paint (black)
Brand new sprockets and chain
lots of extra parts (4 sets of coils(as a side note if anyone needs a set of coils please let me know before i get rid of the bike if i do) 2 seats, extra set of front brakes with new pads, 4 rear brake caipers, and 3 complete wire harnesses) (there again if any needs any of these parts or would like extras let me know asap no offer will be refused)

cbr cons:
not running on all 4 cylinders right now (i have a open post tring to figure this out but he is willing to take it the way it is)
Bike has been laid down so there is some road rash on the peanut covers on both sides.

so please let me know what you guys think

thank you

Do you need a car? Will the gas hurt you eventually? Is this your only bike?

I wouldn't...mustangs are a dime a dozen

i have a 07 gsxr as well, don;t get me wrong i love the cbr but i was going to be selling it so i could get a crusier, so in terms i will be selling the mustang as well if i got it. but with gas prices the way they are i don't know if i will be able to sell the car for more or not. i guess i am just tring to say i want to get the stang if it will in turn sell for more.

Mustangs don't resale for ****...you'd be better of selling the bike with the gas craze. I hear outrageous claims and apparently it works. "Omg my bike gets 70mpg"

such bull****

that is such a fail move, I know he's your friend and all, but he's offering a horrible trade for somethign that's gonna bring him a world of joy, that's like trying to trade a minvan for a viper, it just doesnt compute. A 96 mustang wont sell for much more than you're gonna get for your bike. The thing about CBR's is their great resale value. Not to mention, play up the fact that the 600 is gonna get somewhere around 35-40 mpg (am I right? no one has verified that yet), the mustang only 15-20 mpg. LOTS of people are trying to buy bikes now, I just got mine last week. Any car 10 years old is almost automatically gonna sale for at or below 5 grand, most likely below (ESPECIALLY with dents and leaks and all)

true enough, im just tryin to think of which one would bring more profit, the gixxer IS a plus (though if i buy brand new it's either gonna be a r1 zx-10r or busa hehe)

yea it should have been a a 1000, but at the time i didn't think i was ready for the 1000 and i didn't want to get a brand new bike and drop it due to the speed/power factor. now i wish i would have waited one more year the 08 and 09 1000's have the mode switch, that is the best thing ever made. maybe i will trade up next year. as far as the trade goes.. i went ahead and traded because i have a buyer for the stang and i am also getting a 240sx out of the deal.
