Default Shorty Brake and Clutch levers? recomendations?

Im gearing up for the spring / summer season, and have been wanting to replace my 98 F3's stock levers. But since i've never touched these in the two years i've had the bike, I really know quite a lot of nothing about them

What are some recommendations people can make? I don't want to break the bank, im just a casual rider.

I dont even know how to go about switching them out when i get the new ones. Are there any good places for the DIY'r to learn how to swap them out?

Many thanks!

crg and roll a clutch, or asv and cnc are all amazingly good and pretty expensive.
china makes a knockoff version for about 30/40 bucks that comes pretty damn close to being the same!

ebay!
