Default shock adj tool sub

Is there any else I can use to adjust the rear shock, I do not have specific tool for it. Thanks.

I'm hoping he's pulling your leg. A drift is a straight punch, used for driving pins out of holes. Bit of a brutal approach to the task.

If you don't have the correctly sized spanner wrench, probably best to get one. Do you still have the original tool kit? The spanner is that funky-looking curved thing with the hook on the end.

If you really insist on trying, and don't mind scars on the collar, you can use a pair of large slip-jaw pliers or a pipe wrench. However the spanner is less than $10 at the dealer-ships (in my town).

I have a tool for my bicycle that its pretty similar, not the same size though. Go to a local shop and show them the kinda tool your looking for, mine is a lock ring tool that is used for bear sprockets.

Not joking at all. A hammer and drift are commonly used to adjust spring pre-load on a rear shock.

I found hammer and drift ok for decreasing preload but if you want to wind it up it can be very difficult
