Hi all. I was attempting to replace the downpipes on my bike and have snapped one of the studs off in the head. there is about 10mm of the stud sticking out. has anyone any idea on how to remove this please? ive tried penetrating oil, mole grips that sort of thing but has been useless.....it appears to have welded itself in!! only thing i can think of is to remove the front wheel and try to drill the stud out but what a pain huh! any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

You can file some flat spots on the shaft of the bolt, then use vice-grips to try to remove it. Otherwise, you may need to use a drill and an easy-out. Good luck.
