I've got a 98 CBR600F3 and it was running and riding fine and sounded great with a brand new battery, fuel pump, carbs, plugs, and coils. Started it the other day and it sounded awful. Checked the cylinders and 2 suddenly aren't firing, and the bike now dies when throttle is applied. Any advice??

Definitely need to clean the carbs 100% and maybe it’s time for valve clearance check.

 

I agree. Is it 1&4 or 2&3? This would be lead me to a bad coil. I would also put a spark tester on the spark plug lines and see if it’s possibly bad plugs. If still no spark, swap a plug line from a working cylinder. Still not spark, start looking at coils.
