So, I've seen all the writeups on swapping out the F3 gauges to the digital F4i guages and was wondering if anyone has used the rr gauges? Will it work? I presume it would, because their can't be much of a difference between the wiring of the 600rr and f4i can there? If anyone knows. please share. I have an opportunity to get a great deal on an entire rr front end with gauges ect and want to make sure it'll work before I get it.

 

Well, I cant tell you if it will work or not, but I can tell you how to find out.

If the F4i runs off ofa speedo cable rather than the magnetic type or however it works (digital) it wont work.

Ya cant go from a mechanical gauge system to digital...(easily, it probably can be done but with loads of work)

the F3, F4i and 600rr all work the same, as it uses an electrical signal for speed not a mechanical cable.. Now what you need to find out is whether or not the 600rr uses the same wave form ( the signal) as the F3. The F4i is nearly the same so it works well, it actually got mine within a mph with my bike being geared.

 

well, The F2 runs off of the speedo cable right. I have an F3 and it is the magnetic type I believe. That's why only F3 owners can use F4i gauges and F2 owners are stuck. I presume the RR gauges are digital just like the F3 and F4i. So I think it'll probably work. I'll go for it if I get it a a good price, and try. I can always throw the parts up on ebay if it doesn't work out. If anyone has the RR gauges working, please let me know.
