1. Take the tension out of the cable at top and bottom. You can do this by screwing in the clutch lever adjustment all the way in (top). On the clutch cover (bottom), back off the both nuts so that there is play for the cable to move.
2. This should give you enough play to take the cable out of the clutch perch. You'll see a little slit that the cable will kind of come out. Take the cable out at right around 90 degrees and the cable will fall right out of the lever.
3. Remove lever from the clutch perch.
4. Intall in the reverse order.
5. To make sure the clutch is adjusted properly, there should be about 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch of freeplay. Do a majority of the adjustment at the clutch cover (bottom) becauseif you screwouttoo much up top (clutch lever), the adjustment will bend and break (Speaking from experience on that).
