Default Regulator/rectifier 1995.

Bought a after market ebay regulator which is worse than orginal.Im looking for a decent one but not stupid money any suggestions i would be greatful thanks for reading.

Unfortunately you will have to pay a bit to get a decent one c.£100. Give them a ring ads see what is available as you would ideally want a mossfet R/R as they generate less heat than the OEM type.

I upgraded to a mosfet regulator off a yamaha fjr. These are better than the stock 'shunt'-type regulators that came from the cbr. Very simple, just disconnect the pins from the r/r connector and plug it right into the used regulator. Very cheap too I got mine for $25 and the voltage is very stable, reading a 14.2 volts from idle to 6krpm, and probably understressed as the fjr is a touring bike designed to support lots of farkles and I don't run any accessories. Best part is since no cutting required, you can fully go back if you'd like.
