Default Recently laid down

Few weeks ago i laid my bike down, ( dumb B$*%# pulled out infront of me ) about 30 mph slide. But my questions are when it slide, my bar end came off and kinda wore down where the end use to be. Now i cant get my aftermarket end on ( dosnt even look like it will thread into anything, let alone go in). Second, My throttle seems to be sticking, there a way to make it right again ( I took apart the off/run switch and can see the calbe ect. Third i cant even get me other bar end ( non-slide side ) to even come off, all it will do is spin the bolt.
Anybody???

Sound like a bent clip-on, they are some on ebay. The slide grind down where the bar end fell off and mess up the threads for the new bar end to screw in.

yup, roll the handle bar grip up (meaning try to fold it up to expose the bar). there should be a hole and you will see a rubber bushing. you can take a small screwdriver and wedge it in enough to keep it from spinning. or borrow an air tool from a friend. thats if it is the left clip on.

Might be a good time to upgrade to clip-ons? Not too much more costly and the advantages are tremendous. If the same thing ever happened again it would cost you $11 for the clip-on and like $4 for the throttle tube and you can get them all day long from anywhere - no searching around.

Just FYI.

Sometimes people like to charge outrageous amounts for a good condition OEMclip-on. My guess is you're going to spend around $50-$80 for one in good condition.

I was only pointing out that for maybe $100 more max you could get some aftermarket clip-ons that truely are, "clip-ons" (which is essentially a "trick" street mod but very practical racing system).

I dunno - thinking out loud again...
