Default Rear Sprocket Question

245A-46... I just discovered I had a Vortex rear sprocket. What does this number mean?

Stock gearing is 15/43 (my bike is a 96)

Does this mean I have a 520 conversion chain with a sprocket that has 46 teeth?

I hope not because I thought my gearing was stock.

With that part number for Vortex you have a 530 46 tooth rear sprocket. Check out the link below.

Just as side note. I changed my bike to the Vortex set from Sum of all Parts on eBay. 520 and 14/45. Bike runs great with it on but only after 800 miles the aluminum rear sprocket it is showing a lot of wear.

My teeth still look good. I'm not seeing any signs of heavy wear.

I think he meant you have a 520 46 tooth sprocket... yeah nothing wrong with +3 teeth in the rear. Bikes are geared too high for the street anyways. check your front tooth count though

Check your chain for proper adjustment

I have over 1000 track miles on my vortex rear sprocket, and they are still perfect.
