Hello,

I just got my bike, 1998 f3 with 28000. Everything is fine but, when the bike isnt running and you r sitting in the bike. If you bounce the rear ( hopping) something in the shock or linkage gives a pop. Ive tightened every bolt on the linkage and tapped the spring to se if that helped. Im lost on what it could be. Is there anything Inside the shock that could be popping, and needs replacing cause its old?????? It seems to do it on the rebound not the compression!!!! I dont notice any difference in riding or hear it while im riding.

Ive been messing with it this afternoon, (raining!!!!!! [:@]) And I think it may be a bearing in the linkage somewhere. Its no big deal. I just thought maybe someone has had a similar problem!!!

OK LOL. I now am pretty sure its coming from the shock itself. When I Compress the rear and on the rebound there is a definate Knock coming from the shock. Maybe the rebound valve is shot?????!!! Im shooting in the dark. Anyone ever heard or a rear shock/rebound valve going bad??? If so is this a sign???
