It will lift the tail yes that's what I'm using on my f2 to lift the rear it lifts it about 2 inches and to install it u just have to remove 2 bolts swap them over then put the 2 bolts back in it's easier if you take the tank and tail off though.

Its a 2000 CBR 600 F4 tank and i just needed to make a small bracket for were it mounts at the front as the F2/3 tank uses 1 hole and the F4 tank uses 2 holes.

Default Holding the tail up...

This is what I do:

Remove the tail plastics. Get a sturdy step ladder. Straddle it over the bike with the bike on a rear stand, if possible, otherwise have some one hold it straight up. Use some ratchet straps to lift the bike up off the ground connecting to the subframe and then to the ladder. Make the change, then reassemble. By the way, it also helps if you have it on a front stand to keep the front end from moving on you.

Might sound a little redneck, but it works. Anybody have anything better?

yer it holds more gas, couldnt tell ya how much for sure but ive heard people saying just over a gallon.

I personally think it makes the bike look even better than a tail swap does its shapped totally different to the ****ty F2/3 tanks.

Ok...stupid question of the day, I am sure. The F2/F3 petcock is manual. The F4 is vacuum, I believe and I am sure you can tie it into the F4i guages to get the reserve light to work. How do you hook it up to the vacuum system? Or do you still use the manual one from the F2/F3? I would be curious to see a pic of the bracket you made for the tank if you have time.
