That's a pretty decent deal. I have a 97 F3 with 14k miles on it. I payed 1700, but it was missing the left mid fairing, tail fairing, and muffler(it was previously stolen). The engine is perfect, although I will have to get new tires soon. Just remember the fairings will be expensive as ***** to replace.

no diy split seat conversion kit, or a direct writeup although as soon as I'm done I will give all measurements and bracket drawings needed to do the split seat conversion.

The deal is good, just make sure the coolant reservoir is clean, if it's dark at the bottom you could be burning the coolant or gettnig shavings from the engine.

Well we picked it up today. The fuel pumps bad. So he is ordering it today. Ended up getting it for a grand.

If you want a split seat you can put 600rr subframe on it. It's aluminum and the f3 is steal. Someone posted picks of thiers after completed. You'd have to drill some mounting bolt holes in the f3.

got the bike running. replaced the pump, fixed the choke, and the idle control valve. we would start it and it would rev and hold at 10k rpm. but we got it down to 3k, which is still to high imo (at start up). going to mess with the throttle a bit tomorrow. but i need a place to buy a bolt kit and fairings. he got quoted at over 3grand!!! which is complete BULL!

Best bet is hong kong fairings(which are hit or miss from what I hear), buying all used and repainting urself, or just pick an f3 color scheme you like and become an ebay troll lol. The last option might take awhile. A nice new set of OEM fairings while would look the best are not worth the extra cash IMO. Especially if you drop 3 grand only to eventually(it happens to everybody) lay her down.

I cracked the front fairing the first day I purchased my 929. Went right online to buy a new OEM for my baby but it was going to run me over $600. As far as I'm concerned that crack doesn't look all that bad lol

Well obviously fairings are one of most expensive parts of the bike?
