Default Question about rear spools

quick question, i just purchased a set of stands and spools, and i was wondering if anyone on here had them done (with pics?) or could give me a heads up on where they put them on their f3.

i know you gotta drill the swingarm, i just don't know where,
and i'd much rather prefer welding them under it instead.

or should i dodge that whole bullet and try and get the adapters that don't use spools?

or maybe just cry?

Yes, welding would probably be the best route, but more expensive. If you drill, you need to make sure it's far enough to the front of the bike that you don't interfere with the rear axle wheel adjusters. It would suck if you drill and mount, then to find out you can't adjust your chain because they're bolted in place by the spools.

Good thread and info.

am i supposed to wing it as far as exactly where if i weld it underneath?
the spools are pretty much right next to the chain adjusters on most bikes, slightly towards the front of the bike, but it seems like the f3's spot is going to be slightly different.

i was considering permanently welding the spool + screw (the screw directly onto the swingarm), but id guess welding a mount for it would be better, but 20 bucks is alot for 2 pieces of metal .
i think i could find something cheaper than that at lows personally,
do you know of anyone with pictures?

IDoDirt, which do you use to hold up your rear on your f3?

I just bought one from Harbor Freight (which I got the idea from someones previous post) it is a swingarm stand the has the paddles. It is working great. I would recommend getting the paddle adapters.
