Its amazing that you have the skill to do all of that work! It looks good but I would have just saved the money and bought a newer bike bc at the end of the day its still and F3. Looks good so far, lloking forward to more pics
No.. at the end of the day, the insurance company still thinks it's an F3. At the end of the day he still gets 45-50 mpg's.
But what he really has is a.. er... Hondamaha CBZF 1600R1RR Or somethin like that....

I actually bought a 600rr swinging arm and was all ready to bolt her in, but It has a wider dimension at the swinging arm pivot, and I didn't want to bother with milling the pivot and making new spacers and getting bearings and such, so i decided that the easiest thing would be to make a brace for thw stock swinging arm. you cant really tell that it is a stock swinging arm unless you know F3's. I'm not exactly sure how much weight is added, but it can't be too much, it's not really structural, just for looks. (it's all sheet metal. the body filler is gone now to, which weighs a ton) I even toyed with the idea of an RS 125 swinging arm from an Aprillia, (flipped upside down) but I didn't think that it would be strong enough, and also the same problems with spacers etc. so there it is

where's the fun in that? I wanted a project, and I guess it kind of snowballed way out of proportion, but I guess when I add up all the numbers I think I've spent about the price of a good used 600rr when it's all said and done. But then again, everyone has a 600rr... this is MY bike... no one else has this. It means alot to me. I switched the tank because the old one was very rusty inside and the tank breather was clogged... I tried to save it ( and the money for a new tank) but it was no use. Also the subframe is not all it seems, there is alot going on under that tank that is not seen. A lot of work went into making this thing structurally sound. It will not support a passenger, but who cares? I will post pictures of how ugly (yet suprisingly strong) the sub frame is wihtout the plastics.
Thanks for all the positive support guys

I like what you did with your bike. I really like what you did with the subframe. I like that alot. I would like to see it all polished and painted. Keep up the good work. I was wondering what type of rearsets are you using and did they mount up easy or did you have to modify your frame? I would like to find a different set of rearsets that work with the F3.
