+1 for the messed up tail. I guess I could tape it or something but since I pull those panels frequently I just leave it alone. Fortunately on my bike it really doesnt show much...

Yeah, mine are broken off too. Its kinduva mickey mouse fix, but I have one of those nets that hold stuff on the back, and it keeps it together some.
That or a bungee cord is the best solution, so you can remove the panels easily when you need to get under the seat for your tool kit or battery or whatever.

Mine will pop off a little when I do over 140mph or land to hard on a wheelie. I get soooo pissed!

I don't actully have one im a little spoiled but we just did a engine swap on my friends 97 f3 and its runs and looks new however that stupid rear plastic sucks and pops apart, we just drilled a small hole and tie strapped the whole thing together the clip part is under the ferring so you can't even tell and its been like that now for 3months and havn't fallin part again since....i would suggest that =)

I stopped at the bike shop today after a hard ride and the two rear fairings were sticking way out... man I'm sick of this. I may go with the bungee solution, but I really didn't want to. Maybe I'll try some silicone.

I've got the same problem. There is a guy on eBay that seems to have a ton of them. $54.99 a piece.

Are there kits to make the rear end one piece as well as make it appear to sit, "higher" off the rear tire? Kind of hard to explain, but the like the newer CBR's with the two-piece seat, how it looks like it's sitting higher due to the lack of fairings hiding all the space? Is there a kit for that for the F3's?

Also, I'd like to change the seat to a two-piece seat like the one I just mentioned above. Are there kits for that?

Maybe I want a new bike, hehe. I just figured they made the kits for them.

I had the same problem, so when I repainted my 97 F3 I used some real strong epoxy to hold it on the underside and it worked great!!! Looks so much better too!

i agree with kidcr3nshaw, i too am looking for a 2 seat mod and the single piece rear fairing. anyone have any experience with this? and if so, how difficult is it to do?
