A tale of 2 F3s...
I ended up getting this super clean White/Red F3 about 6 months after I bought the White/purple project bike. It isvery nice and was all original when I bought it with ~10,7XX miles. The previous owner was an older guy who just used it to cruise. He also just did an oil change and replaced the spark plugs with NGK Iridium IXs. I installed the older Jardine exhaust pipe and a new set of mirrors a few days after getting the bike. I also purchased a Zero Gravity dark smoked OEM type windshield, flush mount front turn indicators, and a round key ignition for it though I still have not installed them.
TheWhite/Purple F3 was my first CBR. It is showing 14,7XX miles. I bought it cheap off of eBay as a project. It came out of a storage unit in Baltimore, MD that had been confiscated because of non-payment. It was not in running condition, had been laid down, was missing parts, and did not include atitle or any keys.
The seller need it out of there ASAP so I had a shipper pick it up and meet me in Saginaw, Michigan at a truck stop where I trucked it the last 6 hours north to my home to save as much money as possible.
I bought everything to put the bike together including brand new Targa R & L upper fairings, new smoked windshield, like new matching purple front fender, like new fuel cap with matching key.
I also bought some aftermarket pieces for the White/Red F3 so I could have the stockparts for the White/Purple bike. Anignition with matching key, nice mirrors, andnice front blinkers were all donated.
I was able to get the bike to fire up and rev for a few seconds at a time by dumping a little fuel directly into the carburetors. I am sure they need to be taken apart and cleaned well and then thebike should start/run like a champ.
Now that I have way too many muscle car projects and anice bike to ride I am going to sell this one. I am not going to give it away but I am willing to sell it for what I have into it (~1,150.00)
Cantact me if interested.
