That part is press fit on the wheel and should not be removed. Just have the powder coater mask it of so it's not coated. It will be fine during the process. Make sure you post up photo's after they're done. I'd like to see how they turn out.

So I am getting my rims powder coated and i got everything taken off the rims (bearings, tires, weights etc...) but when I got home I realized that this was still on the rim, the first two picts are off the thing that is still on the rim, and the last pict is of the other side of the rim and how I think it should be. Powder coating goes up to 400 degrees so I need to make sure that this isnt gunna get runned by A) the heat and B)by it getting powder coated. Please help

RE: Post your F3 pix please!
Well, I started this thread a VERY long time ago...now it is time to post a picture of the transformed machine. Not quite done but this gives you an idea of what she's going to look like. These are the Hong Kong fairings off ebay. I painted the wheels and tank. Still have to put the Honda stickers and Repsol stripes on the tank. I also put the front wheel on backwards it looks like...ooops (nowonder those spacers didn't seemlike they were each on the right side of the wheel)- that's ok because I still need to do some work to get the front fender completely mounted up.
Here's the original again...

As you can tell, I needed a new front wheel anyway which wouldn't have matched the back so when I bought the new wheels I just decided to go with the traditional orange like the 95 1000 had (they were both yellow originally - didn't think that would go real well with the Repsol colors).

Yea, I wish mine looked like yours. The scheme on ours is nice looking but mine got dropped by the previous owner so I'm going to need to do a custom paint or something to make it look nice again.
