Default Pilot screw setting help !

I've read the manual, says 1.5 turns out from seat, but I can't for the life of my complete the whole procedure as stated in the manual. I physically can't get my hand and tool in there to accurately adjust. I could get 1-3 carbs but 4th carb is impossible. Does anyone have a good baseline from experience to set these at ?1.5 out is good till you snap into the throttle,it'll hesitate for a second or 2 then accelerate.

Have you balanced the carbs yet?

How did you balance them? The issue you have is a classic symptom of out of balance carbs.
it could be other things but that is the most common.

I have found a closer number is 2 full turns. But that is the starting point.

Do you have a tool to adjust the pilot screw?

Yeah, I had messed. Around with the air fuel while bike was running attempting to do the. Procedure, started. Out well but indeed wrong , ended up taking carbs back off and at 1.5 turns out again . I don't have money to buy the specific tool to make my life easier at the moment so trying to do it without buying more stuff . So that's why I'm hoping someone here has a decent starting point other than what I currently have

The carbs pilots need to be adjusted accordingly sadly. Not a problem with the throttle stop adjuster . Had to clean the carbs and took everything apart . Where they were the pilot screws were set I find hard. To believe we're correct . I have a 2nd pair of carbs where the pilot screws were almost completely out where as the original carbs to the bike were almost all the way in . There is a procedure for these bikes and I sadly just can't get enough room to complete the procedure .

Yeah it's a flat head though, these carbs original came with a D shaped pilot screw , I've thought about buying it and cutting stuff off and weld what I need on there lol
