Default Petcock wont budge

Put tank back on after being at painters and petcock will not move. I have managed to turn it up and down a few times but still wont move when moved back to the off position. Could this be because it hasnt had petrol in it and has dried out as it has been about a month since it was last in the tank and about three months since tank had fuel??

Do you have gas in it now? Is it possible that the petcock got rusty inside from sitting dry for a month?

no ther aint no petrol in it yet dont know about going rusty as i have moved it a few times and it hasnt loosened up just keeps setting back in place then not moving again. i think il have to take it off and have a good look hoping a bit of petrol may loosen it up.

I remeber having this problem on my quad, it had been sitting empty for a while. So I took off the petcock and it had some sediment in it that appeared to be cloging it and seizing it. I let it sit in carb cleaner for a little and it cleared right up. Might be worth a shot in your situation.

I hope it works, something that small would be a frustrating thing to hold you back from riding
