Default Overheating leading to F/A problems?

I've noticed this weird thing happening on my f3. It I sit in traffic for awhile and the temp gauge climbs to 3/4 the way up, it feels like it has no power. It sounds alot like a really rich mixture. It would bog down and even with WOT couldnt get over 2k rpm. But when it cools off or when its cold, everything's fine. Do carb'd bikes do this alot??????

No, they don't do that at all under normal circumstances. Something seems to be wrong with your bike. What if any maintenance has been done on it ? What's the history on the bike ? Mileage, mods, stuff like that.
