Default Ok I did a search... F3 to F4i guage conversion

I really would like to swap some F4i guages into my 95 F3 I've done a bunch of searches and every search seems to link to cbr world.net which seems to longer be in existence.. So does anyone have a write on what I need to buy and make everything work as well as wiring it up of course? I'd also really like for my speedo to read correctly it currently read 7-8mph fast withy 14/43 gearing... Thanks in advance..Dan

If you have any q's, put em up..its a pretty straight forward swap, worst part is making your mounting plate. good luck!

Got the mount pretty much figured out I have a 1/4" sheet of aluminum I'm gonna use if I can't find a big enough scrap of carbon fiber laying around.. So I gather I need a 98-99 cbr900rr temp sensor, what do I need for the speedo to read correctly? I'm currently running a 14/43 w a 520 chain and my stock guage is reading about 7-8mph fast.. Planning on picking up some of those connectors to make it easy to remove also if need be

Swap can be done without the temp sensor, but it will flash and not read your temp at all. I got the sensor, but you will want to leave some time for pb blaster or something of the sort soak to you help with removal. they tend to break off in the head (mine didnt, if you dont have a 1/4" ratchet tools, it will be tough and youll probably have to pull the carbs) some people have made a "T" section to avoid possibly snapping the sensor off. i dont see the need if you proceed with caution. for speedo, you will need to either do a gear swap or put in a speedohealer. I did the healer and installed a GIPro at the same time at the swap. I wouldnt have wanted it any other way, ive riden with different gearings and nothing is better than stock (to me) but i ride highways speeds a lot..
