Default Oil Sump/Pan

Hey all,

I'm replacing my oil sump/pan on my 1995 CBR600FS (aka F3), would I be correct in thinking the F2 1993/1994 and F3 1995/1996 are the same sump and the F3 97/98 is different? I have the option of a second hand 94 or 97 sump.

Thanks everyone.

I checked a few websites and the model numbers suggest my thinking is correct and to go with the 1994 FR (F2) sump, however, why do they then list different gaskets! Gaskets seem to cover 95 to 98 and the 93 to 94 use another.

Help!

Problem solved, got a reply from a Honda dealer informing me the sump and gasket are the same from 1991 to 1996

Installed the new oil sump and managed to snap one of the long bolts!! Luckily it came out all the way before it fell apart. So sump on, minus one bolt, filled with oil and not a drop. Bit worried about using the torque wrench on the other bolts as I cracked the sump with it last time and that bolt was still turning when it went. I'm wondering if the bolts have just become weak over its 17 years of life.
