Nothing is like OEM plastic, repainted.
I purchased the 1997-98 china 7 star plactic, but it got old fast. I took my 1996 OEM plastic and got painted, but couldn't find the 1997-98 tail to got with it. So I took him the 7 star tail, but it don't fit like the OEM.
The best part is I had the guy makethe tail intoa one piece and it fits good, but when it to the tank area is where you see the difference. I going to have to do something to fix that.
But I got them painted and here it is.

Looks pretty nice man, did he make the front upper a one piece too? As for that tank gap, a '97~'98 seat should cure that issue, they have points to fill the gap
