no start :(
my 98 cbr 600 wont start. I put fuel in the carb manually and it starts for like 3 seconds until the gas burns off. I have fuel squirting out of the fuel pump when i disconnect the out line. is there a way to test after the pump to see if there is something wrong with the carb? if so, how? thanks in advance...
i checked the filter and blew into it and there was very little resistance. the filter is before the pump too and i had checked for flowwing of the pump with the filter attached and gas started to squirt out when voltage was applied..
i found 4 hoses that go into the carb with swivel tubes. if i blow into them gas squirts into the carbs and will run for like 3 seconds.... then it dies, if i bypass the fuelpump i wont have anything pushing gas into the carbs right? is the fuel pulled out by vacuum? how do i check if i have enough vacuum on a car that doesnt run? is it possible it is old gas in the tubes still even after countless times of trying to turn it over?
make sure your batt is 12.5+v.
check your sparkplugs, clean em.
usually its the relay going bad.
i tried that and it didnt work.... i took the carbs out and cleaned the jets out. they were really dirty. i put everything back together and it fired right up
the jets were my problem and just needed a good cleaning. thanks guys for all your help....
