Default New tires....help!!!

Hey all....i'm new to this forum...just got my baby isabella about 2 weeks ago and i love her....obsess about her at work all day long. anyways, i've read alot of these posts about tires and talked to some guys, but i want to get your opinion. i need to get a new rear tire, thefront one is pretty much brand new.
A) i have a 160 on the back right now, can i get a 170? and should I? as a new rider, i dont think i would notice much of a difference, but i still want your input. so far i've heard to go ahead and get it, and also not get it....
B) I have dunlop's right now, front and back. should i stick to a dunlop for the rear or can i get another brand for the rear? i've heard that you should stick to the same brand front and back....why is that??

Btw, here is my baby, i was the first one to see her, and couldnt pass her by....got a steal at 2600, 16K miles, not a scratch. everything stock except for a corbin seat, and i had flush mounted lights put on.

Ummm no pic.....If your a beginner stay with the 160. The bike handles much better. I had a set of Dunlop's (170 on the rear). Bought a set of Pirelli Diablo's (160 on rear). She handles great!
Good Luck.

I'd stay with the 160 if that is what Honda says is stock. Wider tires get crowned more which hurts in the turns. The bike looks really nice. A bit too much red for my taste, but I wouldn't kick it out of my garage.

make sure you have the same make and series of tyre front and back as they are designed to work together, so if you have different brands it can upset the bike on the bends.

On an F3, 160s are for riding, and 170s are for posing.

That's a beautiful bike you got there - congratulations!
