Default New rider and bike won’t start!! Please helpp

I bought a 1996 Honda CBR f3 600 a week ago and it was working fine. As soon as I got home it wouldn’t turn over and completely died on me. Changed out the battery and oil and now it turns on and cranks but won’t turn over. I’ve checked the spark plugs and fuses and they look clean with none of them being blown. Please help I’m clueless.

did you run out of gas? Did you turn the gas tap off, or maybe disconnect the vacuum line from it when you removed the tank to replace the plugs?

by "cranks" I assume you mean the engine is rotating but not firing? You need to be careful to be exact re the symptoms otherwise you'll never get a useful answer.

So, it did run, but when you got home it would not crank - ie the battery was flat.

that indicates a problem with the charging circuit - probably a blown rectifier.

You replaced the battery, changed the oil, removed the plugs and checked the fuses.

Now the bike cranks, but won't start.

Correct?

Your bike is pretty simple - fuel, fire and air. I would first check whether you're getting spark - pull a plug, plug it back into the coil, ground it against the engine and see if you get a spark when it cranks.

huh? you said " I’ve checked the spark plugs and fuses and they look clean" - Now you say you're having trouble reaching them?

re Voltage, you should have >14v at the battery at 2000 RPM, and 12v and change when off. That will show if the charging system works. .

again - we need to be clear in our communication if you're going to get help getting to the bottom of this.

By "start" you mean it fires, coughs, idles etc or what, or do you mean it just cranks?

The bike will turn on with power aka headlights will work, turning signals, horn, ect. But it will not run. When I hit the ignition button the bike will fire but it wont turn over

You seem to be saying it cranks (rotates) but will not run - ie it's not burning fuel.

Check fuel, fire, air - and I get the impression you did some disassembly - you said you checked the plugs and fuses and you drained the oil - possibly you didn't put everything back

check you have enough gas - did you try with the tap on reserve?

And I have to ask - you did push the handlebar switch to "Run" ?
