Okay guys,

I am pretty sure I have a bad regulator. I will be testing it tonight.
My question: I have read many different things so, should I replace with a stock unit, or the Gsxr?
I heard the Gsxr makes under the seat pretty hot but lasts longer.

I have checked the regulataor... Nothing is burnt, but I have more than enough volts going in through the three yellow wires, but about 6 coming back out through the red/white. So I assume that means It is not putting enough back out to the battery to keep it charged.

So, I am purchasing a new reg. Apparently I am going for the Gsxr. What sizes are okay to use with my bike? The one from a 600, 750, 1000?

Thoughts?

 

I would not replace with stock.

Also, remove your R/R and check the harness to see if its burnt.
