New project bike
They're Hong Kong fairings - I bought them from a company on ebay called "needonlymotos" or some such. I'm going to reserve judgement on fitment for a few days - I'm having some issues, but as cattywampus as this bike has been so far, I'm hesitant to blame the fairings until I get a good eye on it all.
Bike is completely together, and I rode it earlier. It'll idle and rev all day long, but while you're actually riding, it takes periodic spells of starving for fuel. If you play with the throttle for a minute, it'll come back, and sometimes it'll even die. I am confused at this point lol
Fairings don't fit the greatest, I have some issues around the headlight, but I still wonder if it's the bike and not the fairings. They look good, and as far as quality goes, other than a hole that wasn't drilled, they seem to be of decent quality.
Unless the fairings are blocking airflow, I'm not sure how they would cause an issue. Try removing the fairings and see what happens. It's about as simple troubleshooting test as there is.
Another thing to check is to make sure that the vacuum lines are all hooked up correctly.
An easy one to forget is the one that goes on the bottom of the air box.

As far as the fairings go, I think he was just asking a followup on my installing them, not necessarily troubleshooting.
That is correct.
