Ok, so I just bought a 1998 CBR 600 F3 with 5k miles on it for 2.5k... bike has sat for 3 years with a full tank of petrol and stabilizer fluid (no gunk or **** in tank)
Bike starts up fine if we spray injector fluid into the carb, but does not start going from gas
First I drained old petrol, smelled like poop.
I checked petcock and verified flow of gas.
Checked fuel pump, verified it pumps (squirts a little when trying to start bike, not real heavy stream... not sure if its supposed to be heavy stream.
drained hoses of old petrol and sprayed inside with carb cleaner to rinse out... still no dice
Took gastank and connected line directly feeding to carbs (to verify maybe its the pump... still no dice... I think the issue is carbs maybe dirty or floater is stuck... I have some expirence cleaning carbs and jets, but on a single carb bike, not 4.
Please help first main part is getting the carbs off... if I can get those off and clean off I can test again... like i said I believe that is part of the issue.
BTW, i found the other troubleshooting steps somewhere on this forum

OK I typed this all out in detail and for some retarded reason IE decided to lose everything, so synopsis.. for the people that don't know how to do this or are new on the forum, if I found a step by step instruction how to do it I have added a link... note I am NOT mechanically inclined, I am a Computer Consultant, this is my 2nd bike I'vw worked on... so if I can do it, so can you.
I took off the carbs yesterday and broke it apart, they were so gunked up that I had a tough time removing the jets... dropped the carb and parts into carb bath and it's soaking in two different kinds (one for wash and other for rinse, once done washing and rinsing, I'll go through the carbs again with carb cleaner in a can to wash out anything left) - https://cbrforum.com/forum/showthrea...=carb+cleaning
I drained my brakes and bled the lines, the DOT4 brake fluid in the bike was brown and not light yellow like it should have been, made sure there's no air pockets in the lines by screwing in the line finger tight, squeezing the brakes until there was only oil leaking.
Drained oil and added new oil filter, using Castrol 10-40 4 stroke oil, going to switch to synthetic later on once I know everything is running right. I drained almost 4 quarts of oil, checked manual verified engine requires 3.9qt, I added about 4.2qt but spilled about .3qt so I figured I was good
I oiled my chain yesterday, it was late and I thought it was nasty, so I'll end up cleaning it tonight with a tooth brush - https://cbrforum.com/forum/showthrea...271#post899271
I also have to tighten my chain, it's sagging more than 1" and I know it has to be tighter - https://cbrforum.com/forum/showthrea...ighlight=chain
I would like to change my coolant, but could not find a way to drain it. My questions are how can I drain the coolant and what is the BEST way of making sure theres no air pockets and rinsing the radiator so that it runs at it's best? I know I need to get 50/50 PREMIUM coolant, I found that ont he forum.
One last thing, I am in need of a footpeg right hand side by brake lever, mine has a crack on it... i think I can JBweld it temporarly until I get a new one... Where can I buy one? If it's ebay, I will only purchase from someone you guys know/have used before.

For the coolant, you don't need to change it until the 24k mark. If you REALLY WANT TO:
Pull the hose from the water pump, and the resivoir, and drain everything. Replace the hoses, fill with DISTILLED WATER, heat the engine to 180 degrees, and drain it again. Do this 4 times. The 5th time, fill with your coolant mixture, heat again, top it off. Ride the bike, and check your coolant every day for a bit, and top off as necessary as air bubbles surface. there should be very few to begin with.
For the footpeg: eBay. If you're going to be riding an F3, you're going to have to ditch that irrational fear of ebay RIGHT NOW.

Th footpeg, it's not just the footpeg, its also the mount...thats where it's cracked, right where the footpeg is on the mount.
What about plastics off ebay? do they match up correctly? which ones are the best, I know abs... just theres different companies that make them

Nope.
It's called a "rearset", search for that.
DO NOT EVERY BUY ANYTHING BESIDES OEM PLASTICS. You will be incredibly frustrated and furious if you do.

Plastics, I figured as much too, OEM is x2 the price though... :\ which I dont mind spending, but hard time riding until I get them 2 weeks later

those 1 pieces are so much easier to deal with IMO.

I'm with Kuro. OEM or nothing. I don't like the fiberglass. ABS plastic is easy to repair in the event of a drop. (you're a new rider, whether you want to admit it or not you are at high risk of some kind of drop over the next couple of years) The cheap chinese aftermarket fairings are thin, poorly-fitting crap.
I'd go ebay for some used OEM plastics to repaint before I went with something new and cheap elsewhere...

OK, all went good I guess... my fuel pump went out, so I bought a new one, coming in on Friday.
Rode the bike for a moment, got it around the block and then it went kaput... hopefully the new fuel pump will fix everything.
I also purchsed a new battery, my old one was dead... put on farings (all but backs which were too cracked to put on.
