Thanks for all of the replies! It is actually a great stroke of luck that led me to this bike. It belonged to a guy I work with, who is extraordinarily meticulous about vehicle maintenance and such. One day he told me that he was going to be buying a 2004 600RR, so I jokingly offered him 2500 for his F3, but I guess the joke was on me because he said OK! 
The only thing I don't understand is that the rear tire is mounted backwards so that the directional arrow on the sidewall is pointing the wrong way... Does anyone know what ill effects this will have on treadwear and handling? Thanks again for all the replies!!
