Exclamation New build started

A buddy of mine had a Honda CBR600 F3 that got pretty beat up when the April 28th Storms destoryed. Yesterday I started the rebuild on a new Frame. I have the old bike broken down into major sub-assembles, the swing arm, motor and wiring harness, and gas tank, exhaust etc. The donor bike was a 98 with 9,xxx miles on it. The carbs where full of trash, I pulled them and cleaned them out and but them back together. The bike is going to go back together as a street fighter given all the fairings where either broken or lost in the storm. I have allready bought a seat gas tank and new frame. I know I need a gas cap and ingiton switch and spark plug wire 4. It layed on its side in light water for about 12 hours so I plan on replacing the chain. The motor spins nicely, oil looks good. It rode out ok down a hill after the storm forks seem fine. This will be my first street bike that I keep. I have had a few other but I have not ever keep them for me they where build an sell bikes. I just sold the first bike I had for my self a gz250. I know the cbr is a lot more bike so I was looking to gear it a little high or put a stop on the carbs.

Plan- Rebuild the bike with no fairings, wire tuck as best as possible, paint the new frame blue along with a few odds and ends, put cruiser type head light on it with a digital instrument cluster.

now the questions
Is there anything else I need to think about replacing?
how do I get the forks off the old frame?
what might be tricky in reassembly?
Is there any plug and play digital dashs out there?
I am trying to stay as cheap as possible (i figure at some point I will lay it down) but i dont want to cut safety out of it. Any good chains/sprocket kits out there that will gear the bike higher under $150 shipped?

Thank you in advance for your advise and your time.

why did you have to replace the frame and lockset? if it was just water damage?

don't forget to use lock-tight to keep your bolts from backing out down the road.

also did you can spray that frame or air spray?

the bike was about 50-75 yards from the driveway, I never found the keys to the bike however I did find the keys to 2 out the 4 cars in the drive way I thought I did good. it was not just water damage it busted all the fairings the tail section is off a little on the old frame.
I can sprayed it, I was going to use my gun to clear coat it. I have clear for the gun but i didnt have any blue left over.
