Hey guys I have been watching this forum for a few months and I just got my F3 yesterday. I paid $2500 and its in pretty good shape and only 13k miles. I rode a Seca II for a couple years so this is a big step up and a lot more fun. I just put on a new DB windscreen and grips today. I plan on adding a slip on and integrated clear taillight soon. I have couple questions. I just washed the bike this morning and after the gauges were all foggy and now the speedo is all whack. Its reading like 100 mph and is erratic. Hopefully this will correct itself once it dries out but it kinda sucks. Also the front brake seems a little sticky. I feel like its the lever that is sticky but does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks for the help,
Aaron

In reference to the sticky brake lever. Look at the window on the master cylinder for the front brake. If it looks brown in color, then you need to flush the brake fluid. In fact it probably wouldn't hurt to rebuild both the master cylinder and the calipers. The rebuild kit for the master cylinder is a little on the expensive side at around $40, but rebuilding it will return that really nice smooth predictable feeling.

Thanks for the help guys. I greased up the lever and it seems to be working great now. The brake fluid is still pretty clear. I have a couple other questions. First I got new bar ends off ebay and my bike doesn't have any on right now. The new ones don't fit though. The right side bolt is too short and the left side Inner diameter is too small to even fit the new bar end in it. Lastly, The ignition/fuel key doesn't fit the helmet lock. Is it possible to get a new key made for this lock or can I get a new lock somewhere? It really sucks not having the helmet holder b/c i hate carrying my helmet everywhere. Thanks again, Later
