Default Need new fork...help please

Hey guys

Need a new right hand fork for my CBR 600F 1995

Do any other forks fit directly on without changing breaks or anything apart from the F3 ones? Just theres a few on ebay i need this asap, what year would fit directly on?

Thanks

Only other F3 forks fit right -

F2 forks would also fit, but they are a step backwards in technology. F4 moved from 41mm to 45mm (I believe), so the would not fit.

People have done complete front end swaps to newer 600rr, which also have 41mm forks, but you need to swap everything down to the head tube.

Yeah it sucks - one of my forks is a bit bent at the lower triple clamp and I'm casually looking for a replacement on the cheap, but they are seem to be expensive. Maybe someone on the forums can help you...

A friend of mine has a wrecked 95 F3, I'll ask her tomorrow (well actually today) if the forks are still good and what she would want for one/both.

sorry to butt in on your post here but I am thinking about doing a swap to 03 rr forks on my f3. Does anyone know if I can use my front tire/rim off a 98 f3, or will the axle/disk brake not line up properly. I can get the whole assembly with trees and brake calipers.. just no rim or tire. I would just slide my wheel off and go try, but its a 2 hour drive for the parts, again any help is appreciated

Bandaid - you might need to build axle spacers to get the spacing right. Also, the rotors from an F3 (296mm) are a different size than the 600rr (310mm). You might run into caliper-wheel clearance issues. Better to just find a 600rr front wheel.

CBRstuart - They wont fit into your triple tee F4 have 43mm forks, F3 have 41mm. But you could swap the whole front end (I see that auction comes with upper and lower tees). It looks like the caliper brackets are different from F3-f4 (see pic of f3 forks here).
