Need help testing cooling fan
To everyone that helped me out on the original thread a really appreciate it. you guys (and gals) are awsome, so helpful
I had an overheating issue so, as per the advice given, I drained and replaced coolant, checked thermostat, replaced radiator cap.
now, the only thing that could still be an issue is the cooling fan
is there any way to test the fan without warming up the entire bike? (there is no oil or coolant in it at the time, I am waiting for parts)
if not, when should the fan be kicking on, I only have a needle temp gauge not an exact degree readout
thanks so much for the help, you are all awsome and saving me so much time/hassle/money/issues

You'll need a multimeter like the one below.
But you'll find the wires (according to my schematic it is black/blue and Dark Green) and you'll find a contact point. Most likely a plug. Turn the multimeter below to left of the black temp where it is currently pointing to the one with the arrow pointing at the "+". It should read 0.00 meaning you have continuity. But that is as far as my multimeter knowledge goes.
